Daryl's Sexuality

I just saw an interesting proposition on Tumblr....Daryl being asexual....what do y'all think? Sorry to be basic, but as a refresher, asexual means you are without sexuality or sexual feelings...some childhood and rape molestation survivors turn asexual as an adult since the only exposure they had to it was violent and dirty, and they don't get the proper intervention to turn that psyche around...I'm not saying Daryl was raped, but I don't think he had the emotional upbringing to facilitate the emotions necessary for a deep seeded sexual aspect too...maybe he is asexual...dunno, what do y'all think?

I think NR was right... Daryl has had sex, but he's never made love.... Merle probably set him up with a skank for his birthday or something... he probably got drunk out of his mind, did the deed, then left.... but to make love to someone.. that is something that I doubt he's ever done...

I think that Daryl is working his way into that direction, the emotional part of sex, but it's the ZA and there's just no time for that... He has close relationships with the group, but not that close and I doubt he thinks of any woman in the group that way.. .he might find someone attractive, but to act on it... he wouldn't know WTH to do...LOL

I don't know if I would call him asexual.... Maybe, a little... if that makes sense.. he knows what to do, probably thinks about it sometimes, but there isn't anyone there to help him out....Although, some might want to, he isn't interested in them that way....

Daryl Asexual... Yes & no.....His abusive childhood.... the fact that he's just learning to show emotion for others, concern, and still has isssues with being touched.... Yes... but I kind of think that Daryl has thought about it...I mean, being around Rick all the time, that hottness..LOl Okay, bad joke... Maybe, next season Daryl will get some..... they will meet a new survivor who will just go for it, get it done, and move on....just for those who demand Daryl has to do it with someone....or they could keep him the way he is... I don't see him making a move on anyone, any time soon....

I think it's very possible. And if nothing happens at all between him and Beth in the next block in episodes, I'd say yeah, he's asexual. I would actually like it a lot more if they explored this rather than have him flirting with Carol and Michonne.

I think it's possible, since he hasn't shown any sexual tendencies at all and is really not comfortable with intimacy. I hate to be "that guy" who reads too much into a fictional character, but we know Daryl was physically abused as a kid, so it's not that much of a stretch to assume he was also sexually abused. Maybe he was just turned off by the whole thing and associates sex with violence. Or maybe I'm full of shit and need another beer. Regardless of whether I'm full of shit, I'm going to have another beer.

Personally, I'm grateful. He's one of the blessed few on this show who has managed to stay away from the soap opera horseshit and I'd like to see it stay that way.

Well, to clear that up since yeah...anyway, my post was a supposition and I actually already knew Daryl was not gay, Norman's talked about Daryl basically fucking but never being intimate. 

It doesn't matter as it stands, but personally, yeah we'll just leave it at that and not go into wanting to see fan reactions

Alrighty then, there, stated fact by Norman was that Daryl has been with women, not gay. So yeah, haha, lol. 

My post was, again, only something I had wondered since he's clearly not comfortable with any sort of female emotional intimacy, it scares him b/c he's never been truly allowed to express said intimacy, although I think that could change. 

I wasn't really posting it to get into a thing where we talk about how so and so could be this and the fans would freak out either, honestly, I thought it was an interesting notion and to be honest, while he's been with women, as I said in the other post, he's fucked, but he's never made love and in that aspect he is asexual.

THIS!!!!! They are eye freaking each other....LOL Although, I think Michonne might hurt him bad, but in a hot way...LOL

Daryl has never flirted with Carol... Not once..   Carol on the other hand has flirted with him to the point of him telling her to stop, but she's so desperate she keeps doing it.....Pathetic..LOL

Daryl seems very uncomfortable when she does that....which also goes to the asexual thing.. or at least, I think so..

He also seemed uncomfortable or unsure when Beth hugged him.. It wasn't a sexual hug or romantic thing, just a hug and he acted like he didn't know what to do...but finally touched her arm...  Daryl just doesn't know what to do when emotions are involved... I suspect he's have to be drunk off his backside for anything to happen and it would still be the woman who had to make a play...

Daryl didn't tell her that. Carol said it. 

The scene was Season 3, Episode 1. He rubbed her hurt shoulder, she said "That was pretty romantic, wanna screw around?". He went "pfft". Then he started to climb down off the bus and said "I'll go down first". Then SHE said "Even better". He clearly  meant he would go down off the bus, she turned it to cunnilingus (which was pretty damn clever actually, I chuckled). But nope, he did not tell her to go down on him.
