What do you think we will see immediately upon the shows return.

I would expect we see the ruined prison and Hershel's body/re animated head. Then see walkers wandering within the prison (perhaps we can glimpse Clara once more, also Mitch Dolgen maybe wander into the shot he should have turned), the corpse of Alisha/Meghan (similar to how we saw Allen 4x06 or Sophia in 2x09) or maybe Alisha being eaten. Then we see the corpse of The Governor with bullet in head (I know those stills are from a deleted scene but wouldn't surprise me to see his body here for a few seconds) I'd actually be quite surprised not to see Philips body as he is responsible for this. Then we see figure approaching Hershel's body *bang Katana through his head*. *Music starts* We see Michonne's face she turns around to survey the ruined prison and bedlam from her POV and then she turns and begins to walk away *Credits*

I think E409 is going to be all Carl/Rick but the opening you proposed sounds like a good lead in to it.

IA. The first episode back is Rick and Carl. Maybe some Michonne toward the end?

I believe this is what is going to take place-with the possibility of Michonne showing up near the end

Whats IA?
Main reason I think we get one last look at the prison is
1) in the promo thing we got for 4B we see the towers smoking so its very close to the battle ending.
2) Hershels head will have reanimated
3) We saw all groups flee the prison except Michonne meaning she should still be on the prison grounds and "available" to put Hershel to peace.
4) its just Gimples keen eye that made me expect to see a selection of Mitch/Clara/Alisha/Meghan/Philip.
5) Showing this for the 4B premiere opening would be such a contrast seeing as the 4A premiere was showing how the prison was such a nice functional place to live now we just see it a body/walker strewn ruin.

I agree as well that it would be a good lead in to the episode to start with that and then to go into the Carl and Rick stuff with Michonne joining them by the end of the episode. I think that little promo during the marathon is some pretty good evidence that Michonne will probably put down Hershel's severed head either before or after he turns like what she did with Ty in the comic book. 

Good idea about Mitch reanimating since he took and arrow to the heart without damage to his brain, and I also think they will do a shot of the prison in ruins with the camera panning away probably during the opening sequence.
